Just Automotive Recruitment is searching for an experienced Quality Control Officer to join the team in Cranbourne. You will be responsible for design, implement, monitor and continuous improvement for all quality control activities during the fabrication of semi-trailers and road tankers, as well as workplace health and safety, equipment services and maintenance.
The Job:
- Review of quality manual, checklist, SOPs and related work procedures
- Supporting all QA related activities to ensure customer standards, customer expectations, and ADR standards, including but not limited to checking each new trailer and tankers.
- Liaising with production supervisor, engineering team and warehouse staff to ensure quality issues are addressed and preventative action are followed.
- Assist with investigation and response to customer complaints.
- Assist and participate in all QA related internal and external audits
- Design and manage the QC related records
- Liaise and assist external safety consultant
- Observe all safe working practices as directed by the Operations Manager and the use of personal protective equipment as and when provided
- Reviewing and implementing safety documentation such as risk assessments, Safe Operating Procedures and Safe Work method statements for heavy machinery.
- Conduct safety meetings with the help of an external safety consultant, organized fire drills and other preventative training on a regular basis.

- Demonstrated knowledge of semi-trailer and tanker product
- QA experience in a truck/trailer manufacturing environment
- Demonstrated competence in conceptual, analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Highly organized, effective time management skills and ability to thrive in a fast-paced team environment.
