The Service Manager is expected to manage the operations of the service department in the P.M. shift and be responsible for the Dealership security and safety of employees and customers in the absence of the Branch Manager. You will plan, control and increase department efficiencies, meeting strategic financial and operational performance targets. Ensure all customer commitments are met and the work is carried out to the highest quality standards.

- Staff Management
- Ensure relations with the manufacturer are maintained to the highest standards and coordinate manufacturer requirements
- WIP control, driving invoicing and accuracy
- Provide direction and support to service and Parts departments to achieve objectives and targets
- Plan and implement training plans, and coordinate ongoing training, development and product knowledge for all workshop personnel under your management
- Ensure all records of the service department are kept per company policy and legislative requirements
- Regular review and update of S.O.P’s and communicate to service department personnel
- Ensure all service personnel comply with company WHS policies and processes at all times
- Ensure that safety is the number one priority under your management.
- Take responsibility for the security of the Dealership throughout your shift and closing.
- Drivers Licence
- Automotive technician trade certificate
- Experience in the automotive industry including sound knowledge of service operations
- Preferable past Supervisor / Manager experience
- Excellent verbal communication skills
- Organization and time management skills
- Commercial acumen and marketing skills
- Sound computer skills
- Strong leadership ability
