This is a thrilling opportunity for an energetic and skilled National Technical Manager to join our customers in Sydney.
This role will be providing outstanding service, support, advice, training courses and support material to Dealers who can in turn respond to and retain their customers for future purchases.
Duties:
- Provide excellent service to the Dealer networks in the areas of technical support/advice, warranty support/advice
- Ensure the Technical Support team is providing excellent customer service, often while dealing with difficult situations
- Provide industry-leading technical training programs for Service staff in the dealer network
- Improve the Dealer, customer and staff survey feedback ratings regularly
- Work effectively as part of the leadership team
- Communicate with Dealers regularly to ensure all technical and warranty issues are fully understood and handled
- Conduct regular surveys to determine the level of satisfaction the end users and Dealers have with the service provided by Technical Support
- Recruit, train, mentor and organize regular development for Technical Support personnel
- Work closely with the General Manager – Service & Customer Support to develop the Technical personnel into an effective team
- Contribute to the quality of technical training to the Dealer network and follow up to ensure the benefits are maximized and any necessary changes are made
- Provide technical reports and analyse technical trends in the market
- Plan and implement warranty audits through the Dealer network and conduct training as requested
- Co-ordinate with other Departments to ensure optimum delivery and service
- Implement performance goals with Technical Support staff and review and take corrective action relevant to goal achievement as appropriate
- Assess trends in all KPIs for staff and Dealers
- Work closely with the General Manager

- Excellent customer service skills
- The ability to negotiate a ‘win-win’ outcome and overcome negative issues presented
- Proficient in the Microsoft Office suite
- Excellent written and verbal communication and people skills
- Detailed knowledge and understanding of trucks Dealer networks and how they operate
- Ability to deliver agreed-on goals while operating in a high-pressure environment
- Relevant experience in light, and medium. heavy duty truck environment
- Proven management and leadership skills
- The ability to maintain a positive team focus while surrounded by complaints and criticisms
- Experience and involvement in managing budgets and forecasts
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team but also able to work autonomously with minimal supervision, when needed
- Available to travel overseas or interstate at short notice
- Ability to communicate effectively at all organizational levels
