Just Automotive Recruitment is searching for an experienced WHS & Quality Control Officer to join the team in Cranbourne. You will be maintaining a culture that promotes the wellbeing and safety of all staff through the delivery of appropriate workplace health and safety methods, with the crucial objective of eliminating workplace injuries. Also, you will provide help to manage the Quality Control and Quality Assurance of products.
The Job:
- Continuously demonstrate a personal commitment to Environmental, Health, and Safety Policies and Standards to achieve a workplace free from incidents, discrimination and harassment.
- Providing advice and support to managers and staff on all matters related to Health and Safety and Compliance in delivering a safe work environment for all
- Observe all safe working practices as directed by the Operations Manager
- Ensure incidents reports are submitted on time, investigations appropriately conducted, and leading any minor and major investigations.
- Conduct monthly analysis of incident trends, monitor safety performance and report any adverse trends immediately to the direct supervisor.
- Manage and process the documentation associated with Worker Compensation claims and other WorkSafe related matters, to develop specific preventative strategies to mitigate reoccurrence.
- Conduct safety meetings, fire drills and other preventative training regularly.
- Reviewing and implementing safety documentation such as risk assessments, Safe Operating Procedures and Safe Work method statements for heavy machinery.
- Developing and implement an E-learning safety training platform
- In charge of company internal Quality Control System.
- In charge of operational quality-related checks as required
- Develop and manage product checklist for production staff
- Training of production staff in the Quality Assurance Program
- Develop, review, and implement QMS documents, including SOPs
- Identify and/or correct any potential quality issues in the whole manufacturing processes
- Oversee tools, equipment and machinery maintenance, servicing, and calibration
- Sufficient experience in the WHS area with a minimum of 3 years experience in the manufacturing environment
- Sufficient experience in the Quality Control/Assurance area with a minimum of 2 years experience in semi-trailer industries.
- Tertiary qualifications minimum cert IV Workplace Health and Safety
- Return to Work Coordinator accredited preferred
- Demonstrated competence in conceptual, analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Highly organized, effective time management skills and ability to thrive in a fast-paced team environment.
