Enable and support effective workforce management through delivery of services throughout the employment lifecycle and case management of performance and conduct. Apply knowledge of relevant common law, legislation and awards to assist people managers with more complex queries, escalating matters as necessary.
The job:
- Advise managers and staff on employment conditions and people management policy and practice
- Acts as a single point of contact for employees and managers.
- Proactively supports the delivery of HR Processes at the client’s side
- Manages complex and difficult HR Projects cross-functionally
- Builds a strong business relationship with internal clients
- Actively identifies gaps, processes and implements changes necessary to cover risks
- Facilitates the management team to bring the best solutions for employees
- Acts as the performance improvement driver and provokes positive changes in people management
- Design succession plans for key talent and key job positions
- Analyze data trends and metrics to inform business decisions
- Mediate and resolve employee relations issues; conduct thorough and objective investigations when necessary
- Coach and mentor managers to be effective, consistent, and empowered people leaders.
- Tertiary qualification in human resources management, business administration or a related field, or equivalent relevant experience.
- Previous experience in human resources, professional development, training, or employee relations
- Current in-depth knowledge of legal requirements related to human resources and employee management, including worker’s compensation, union relations, and federal and state employment laws.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong negotiation, influencing and persuasion skills.
- Excellent presentation skills together with strong verbal and written skills.
- Strong interpersonal skills

- Self-motivated
- Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Office applications

- Contemporary working knowledge of relevant industrial relations and employment frameworks.
