Qualified heavy vehicle mechanic / Leading hand wanted for the Arvo Shift, looking after Truck fleet. $38ph + Allowance!
 
We are working with the service division of Australia’s leading waste management company to recruit a leading hand to look after the small team for their 12:00 pm to 8:30 pm afternoon shift. This is a combination of hands on and leadership. The workshop looks after the chassis (the bodies are under an outsourced contract).
 
The Person;

• Trade qualified diesel mechanic
• Fleet maintenance experience
• Must be able to work autonomously and to deadline
• A stable work history in a related role
• Some computer skills
• Ability to follow fault finding procedures

 The Job;

• Assess, diagnose and carry out repairs as necessary
• Servicing, inspections and general fleet maintenance
• Parts ordering and allocating work
• Experience working with AC and heaters an advantage
• Keeping fleet on the road – 99% KPI’s
• Majority of this role being available for breakdowns 
• 12:00 pm to 8:30 pm afternoon shift
• Complete all required paper work
