Just Automotive Recruitment is assisting in the search for a skilled Heavy Vehicle Technician to join their team in Newcastle. Ideally, you will be a qualified heavy vehicle mechanic.
The Job:
- 40% of the role is workshop base, 60% is field base
- Tool for Trade Vehicle provided with this role
- 30 hours per week (38 hours paid) plus after-hours breakdown at penalty rates
- Practice and promote WHS regulation compliance
- Carry out servicing, maintenance and repairs on a variety of heavy vehicles
- Efficiently diagnose and rectify faults
- Ensure all work is completed to a high standard, at the required level of efficiency including documentation
- Willing to work a fair amount of overtime when required
- Be able to be on call 24/7
- The ability to work competently when unsupervised
- Be able to be on call 24/7
- Ability to work unsupervised on breakdown calls
- HR or higher class of licence
- Ability to follow diagnostic procedures with a “ Can fix: attitude
- Commitment to fixing right first time coupled with a focus on customer satisfaction
- Stable work history in a related role is highly regarded
