Job Description
The company is renowned for the high quality of work they do and are largely responsible for the highest quality of "BLING" on prime movers on the Eastern Seaboard. We are helping them recruit a leading hand/foreman to look after the workshop team. If you take great pride and consider yourself a crafts person then this is the role for you. The person:
- An experienced sheet metal worker
- Have leading hand / foreman experience
- Experienced with stainless steel (1.2-1.5mm)
- Experience working with Mirror stainless No:8 highly regarded
- Experienced with alloy (1 - 10mm)
- Able to MIG and TIG weld,most of the welding is TIG
- Able to use sheet metal manufacturing tools: guillotine, brakepress, benders
- Able to produce top class work
- Someone who takes great pride in the detail of the finished product
- Able to work from drawings, also design specs yourself
- 70% on the tools, 30% looking after the team & shop
- One stop shop for all electrical, fabrication and custom chrome accessories
- Quality control of the jobs going out
- Managing the workflow ensuring jobs done on time
- Standard hours Mon-Fri 7am-4pm (OT depends on workload- no Saturdays)
- Helping with technical issues, guiding the team
- Not a production line environment.
